Can I perform the halogination of 2c-h to 2c-I in the same way people make 2c-b?
I,e, using NIS instead of NBS?

I assume this would work but thought I would ask…

Claims 88 % yield with NIS iodination of N-Boc-2C-H. Maybe it works after all, without any tricks - plain AcOH and NIS.

Yeah I wondered about this because of an interview released yesterday where someone questioned if someone used NIS to make 2c-I.
Same with NCS I believe….

I’ll make some NIS and give it a go. Then we will know won’t we!

I actually havnt tried 2c-c yet so I may well try make some NCS now that my extraction situation will fully handle gasses.

I made some stock solution of acetone/Hcl yesterday and I really wonder why on earth i have never heard of anyone doing this in a clandestine lab….makes salting HCl amines so much easier

Also thanks for replying to this thread with that info updated. Much appreciated.
Where do you find your literature? I always have issues finding relevant shit!
