Hello everyone,

I'm absolutely fucked up.
we have a big problem with ephedrine from China. I tried all the options within the RED P/i2 reduction in H3PO4... From the change of temperatures, times, equipment, precursors, the only thing I can't change - ME.

I even tried what came out of the reaction to react again, unfortunately with the same result

I'm completely down.
who would Who could adviseIs there anyone with a similar problem or someone Who could advise? I don't currently own any TLC or other Tech.

You can buy tlc plates very cheaply they arent controlled i think u can even get them on amazon but yeah as soldado said whats the problem?

what's the CAS# of your Chinese ephedrine?It's hard to make anything ofn those crystals, can you dissolve some in hot alcohol and let it crystallize naturally? It's so thick I can't tell really about the angles of the crystals. I feel like I see 3 kinds inn there, but I think my eyes are tricked by the thickness

Hi I feel that some sellers sell final product from ephedrine
has it written in description and
for me it's not active too ..
Or extremely weak maybe tolerance but ..
I know PSE me.h and it's not comparable like it is different molecule

theere are areas in your pics that look like unreacted ephedrine, but i cant be sure because its so thick and no a sigle crystal structure, but there is an obvious difference you can usually see orthorhombic vs. triclinic

What is the cas of the product? Have you checked using Chen-Kao test? Have you checked the final product using any druh testing reagent? Can you give us more info on your synthesis?

If you don't have TLC. You can use Chen test. If the colour is purple, then you have good Eph. But, the colour is blue then it's not eph. After that, you can try burn test on aluminum foil. Burn slowly. See what is the colour for the Eph, it should be brown (not yellow or black). And it should be evaporate, leaving no residue. If the residue is black, than your Eph is not pure.
