I tried this reaction 3 times and I always had a problem with the NaBH4 not dissolving. I tried adding p2np for 6 hours but there is still a lot of it left. In the copper addition phase there are 3 layers, the bottom one is a layer of NaBH4. Please how do I get it to dissolve? I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I followed the instructions that are here. thank you very much, I must have made a mistake in the temperature because I only had around 30C in there, the instructions I followed were only that the reaction did not exceed 50C so I did not know, the ratio I had was 10gP2NP, 17g Nabh4 . water 60ml and ipa 120ml. copper 1g. but I did not even have the top stirring only magnetic but strong, maybe that will be the problem.
it has been in the flask for a few days and it is only two clear liquids and in the middle there is a thin black layer, I will definitely try again soon if something else does not go as expected I will write. thank you
