I'm doing lots of planning ahead, and trying to imagine any and all issue prevention for a backyard lab I would eventually like to set up. This wouldn't be at scale, just personal use.
I would likely be getting a 10 foot tall shed, somewhere around 100 square feet. Neighbors are close, but not right next door, just in the vicinity, maybe 20 feet away on both sides, the back neighbor is not a concern. The shed will eventually be wired for electricity, but will not be able to have running water afaik, still investigating that.
I was thinking, due to proximity of neighbors, that I should have a carbon filter on the fume hood I will build. The design is what is bothering me.
If the shed is 10 feet, I believe that will be enough room for the fume hood, but perhaps not the carbon filter? I would like to have it right about the fume hood, but might have to not do so due to space constraints. Thoughts in this would be nice.
Also, how to make a hole for the fume hood to vent out of is tricky. I'd prefer not to have it be noticeable, disguised or unseen. Not sure how to approach that.
Will also have some sound reduction, aa I'd prefer people to be less able to hear the fume hood and wonder what it is for.
Thoughts on this would be nice.
