This may be true for other substances, but DMT itself is highly active in really small dosages. Here the question also arises, maybe you are trying to fight tolerance in this way? Or is it a matter of finding stronger sensations, experiences? In the latter case, a pure substance and competent set and setting will be more effective than experiments with methods of administration in my opinion.
It's not. DMT is not among the substituents that actively interact with lipopolysaccharide complexes and messenger adipocytes. In general, DMT given intranasally will have more effects than subcutaneously.

remember if you want to make a substance suitable for "Injection" one path to consider is having blood samples taken before and after someone smokes it, more often then not our body has an enzymatic or a metabolic change to the original substance/Structure by oxidation, or reduction.. etc - or said differently if you have the means to study what the drug molecule looks like when it is inside the blood stream one could try and replicate that molecule. For heavens sake dont think for a second that if you can smoke or eat it you can inject it........... There is however no drug that would be impossible to inject but it is no easy task to map any substances chemical transformation or pathway it takes in the body. it is also the kind of study where one has to have a greater understanding of chemistry that the basic Organic "Cook" knowledge.
