Bad looking Meth???? Why????

I start to synthesis Meth by P2P via Al/Hg with Methylamine, i have no problem with this rout but my finalproduct looked like sugar , its looked like cocaine powder . Where is the problem , i need a product who looked like crystals ore rocks .

I think you need to recrystallize your product

You can increase the purity by using steam distillation or high pressure vacuum distillation on the methamphetamine free base then re-crystallise it with acetone or dry diethyl ether leave it undisturbed until the acetone evaporates and crystals should form on the bottom. Be careful not to use any plastic or styrene as a crystallisation dish.
