The Honduran armed forces dismantled a cocaine laboratory and coca plantation in an operation conducted in the municipality of Limón, Colón, northern Honduras.
The operation took place in the morning hours in the Plan de Flores sector, La Montura village, with the participation of agents of the Joint Task Force Xatruch and the Office of the Anti-Drug Trafficking of the Prosecutor's Office.
At the scene, police were able to locate a makeshift wooden structure where a drug laboratory was allegedly operating, where they found chemicals used to produce cocaine hydrochloride.
Armed forces teams also inspected the area to count the number of bushes that had been planted on about three blocks of land.
Authorities then burned a coca plantation and dismantled a drug lab that had been operating in a village in the rural area of the department of Colon.
No arrests were reported by the Honduran police during the operation.
