On Tuesday, April 5, the Auburn Police narcotics team discovered seven methamphetamine laboratories in Corunna. As a result of the search, police seized drugs, precursors, methamphetamine manufacturing equipment and arrested six people.
According to an Auburn Police Department statement Tuesday, April 5, police obtained a search warrant for a private residence located in the 800 block of County Road 9A. As a result of the search, detectives found seven "one pot" methamphetamine labs. Law enforcement officers also found and seized five hydrogen chloride (HCl) gas generators, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and precursors for making methamphetamine.
Police officers were able to arrest six people, including Justin Hendshaw, 35, of Corunna, Roger Boese, 63, of Corunna, Carl Boese, 40, of Corunna, Rita M. Spillers, 52, of Corunna, Patricia Roberts, 32, George Fath Jr. 24, of an unknown address.
The five Corunna residents were sent to the DeKalb County Jail, George Fath Jr. was taken to the Steuben County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
