The criminals set up a drug lab in a city of Culiacan. There they produced methamphetamine for sale in the country

Mexican federal authorities reportedly found and dismantled a methamphetamine laboratory operating in the city of Culiacan, Sinaloa, which is the operational center of the drug cartel of the same name. Inside the laboratory were found precursors and equipment for large-scale methamphetamine production.

According to the investigation, officials of the Secretariat of National Defense discovered a probable clandestine laboratory used to manufacture synthetic drugs and referred the case to Federal Ministerial Police officials for further investigation. It concluded on April 11, when, after reconnaissance work, it was possible to locate the clandestine production facility and conduct a law enforcement raid on the outskirts of the city of Culiacan.

Inside the lab, 24 liters and 99 milliliters of liquid methamphetamine, 139 liters and 97 milliliters of acetone, 109 liters and 98 milliliters of toluene, as well as gas cylinders, metal structures and other equipment were found.

State Police agents cooperated with officials from the Secretariat of National Defense in the operation, which resulted in the discovery of the prohibited substances. They also located another laboratory in the city of Imala, where materials used to manufacture drugs were found.
