Hello my friend. Stimulants have a nasty habit of inducing psychotic symptoms in users. The "experts" suggest this will happen in 100% of people who use Amphetamines/Stimulants on a regular basis over a long period of time or with heavy use. When your awake for 3 days at a time, with only a day off here and there for 3 months at a time your asking for trouble. And ill have a stab in the dark here, your probably taking alot more Ritalin then your Doctor has prescribed to you. Ive been using amphetamines for over 30 years heavily and i know what your going through, its nasty. You need to eat properly and keep it to 2 or 3 days a week. And sleep. Do not tell your prescribing Doctor you are having psychotic symptoms. If you do they will cut off your medication and it will be very hard to get back on your meds. Every time you have a psychotic break, there's the chance they will get worse and you will end up in a Mental Health Unit. And if you do enough dammage to yourself eventually psychotic breaks will occur without Stimulants, so you need to slow down or your headed for a big head fuck. Mental health units are not fun places to stay at. So what you need to do is slow down, lower your dose, sleep more, and eat/stay healthy. How i got over all this shit, kept on it and stay out of hospital was to follow the example ive outlined and im on Anti-Psycotic medication now. After about 15 years on the gas i needed to be on Anti-Psychotics to stop psychotic symptoms from occurring. The only problem with that is to get the Anti-Psychotic medications you need to have a Mental Health diagnosis and a history of mental illness. Something that you don't want on your Resume. Take care.

I support @scoobiedoo opinion. The most effective thing you can do is to reduce the number of days when you take ritalin in a row and gradually reduce the dosage. The fact that psychotic symptoms began to manifest themselves earlier indicates neurochemical rearrangements and deterioration of both the mental sphere and the body as a whole. You need strength and recovery. They should be provided with normal nutrition and adequate sleep. But only against the background of a more stable and reduced intake of ritalin. We can continue this conversation in private conversation, if you still have questions.
