For normal amphetamine? There is an good leuckart synthesis in the amphetamine section here…

or if you want to keep it simple..
1L p2p
1,5 L formamide
0,75L formic acid
Reflux (cook untill it boils quietly with an reflux condensor on top of your vessel) around 135/145 degrees…

Take top layer normally 10% more then your start of p2p, so in this case 1.1L

Take 1.4 L of an already cold solution of 60% naoh in dh20

mix it with the 1.1L of your previous step, now heat to 100-100 degrees. Reflux for 2 hours

take upper layer, and steam distill.

The clean oil is your amphetamine base oil. There are some other methodes… with other chemicals. It depends totally on what you or your customers want… the scale you want to produce.. etc etc…

No i don’t, never looked into that. We have so much easy to buy pre-precursors since 15 years or something. So never looked into phenylacetic acid..
order some 5449-12-7, and you can make your own p2p in one simple step…
