Reading the book The Construction And Operation Of Clandestine Drug Laboratories would have definitely helped him.

When setting up a lab, it is absolutely important to choose the location in a way, that it can not be traced back to you in a case of emergency.
Also, letting unnecessary or uninvolved people know about your operation exposes yourself to a higher risk.

Potential fuck-ups by this guy:

- Receiving precursors on his name
- Receiving laboratory equipment on his name
- Registering the laboratory on his name
- Letting other people know (maybe bragging about him being the next Walter White, I don't know)

So basically he did everything wrong someone could do wrong, I can't stress enough how important a correct OPSEC is.

Do never pay suppliers via tracable bank transfers! This can fuck-up the whole operation!

There are even ways to pay-off suppliers with non-crypto transactions and to stay anonymous at the same time!

Many products which are needed to build up a laboartory can be purchased from big online warehouses such as wallmart, amazon, etc. Those warehouses often do offer vouchers, which can be purchased via cash in any gas station and/or supermarket.

An other way could be to open up an anonymous bank account on someone elses name. Those accounts also can be purchased easily. If you choose the correct bank you can also load up the account via cash in nearby supermarkets. Bank accounts which do offer this kind of service can be easily found.

Furthermore i would suggest to send packages which include equipment which should be used in an illegal operation either to an dead end adress (burner adress) or to an post office in a nearby country or state. For this i would also suggest to use a fake name in order to receive the package anonymously.

I can go to Walmart and buy a reloadable visa/MasterCard / American Express, with cash and I can load money on it at the store with cash. I can get online and put any name I want on it, or no name

Whenever I feel like making some stuff, I try to find websites with vulnerabilities that i can exploit to trick them into giving me free reagents. Its a great way to do this but you need to have knowledge about social engineering and website exploitation.
Being a good hacker and chemist comes in handy sometimes

In my opinion you got to compromise in terms of risk. Sometimes it is worth it to risk for something that will insanely help you in the long run.

If you don't ever risk anything you won't get anywhere. You'll just end up with shitty glassware, shitty chemicals and all of that for many times the price.

The perfect way to go about this is to create a cover story for the entire operation. One that does actually appear legitimate and could be held up in case of suspicion. This means having to work hard to build up this cover story but overtime this will save you a lot of hassle. Trust me.

The Tyrolean police have foiled a large-scale amphetamine trade. The investigators arrested a 22-year-old in Innsbruck who had tried to illegally produce amphetamine in his own laboratory and then sell it. The man was released after some questioning, the police said on Tuesday.

It was said that he would be released after the investigation was completed. The 22-year-old had ordered extra laboratory equipment and chemicals from China for his entry into the drug business. With the starting materials, he could have produced up to 45 kilograms of amphetamine. Specialists from the Federal Criminal Police Office and the Tyrol police secured them in a rented basement room that was set up as a laboratory. Not without risk, because the chemicals were highly explosive.

According to the police, the accused has been proven to have passed on MDPV commercially since 2012. During the interrogations, the 22-year-old confessed that he "wanted to get big into the illegal manufacture and trade of amphetamine". In addition, he had already produced small amounts of amphetamine for test purposes and passed them on to consumers."

What is bs about explosive chemicals. Chemicals that are flammable and hence susceptible to explosion? Who would've though... Seriously they scared the shit of me. Why don't they try to make amphetamine themselves without flammable/explosive chemicals. Would love to watch them suffer as they fail miserably
