I've read articles where hypophosphorous has been been used in Microwave irradiation, iodine too being used in Microwave environment so I was wondering does anyone have any information on a Microwave irradiation of a Birch Reduction using hypo, Iodine and Psuedoephadrine?

Theoretically I thought about premixing the holy trinity adding it into the microwave then setting the probe to under 160c start with low power and buildup to it..

you should be able to smell “That Smell”, If “The Smell” is undetectable, then chuck it back in the microwave for another irradiation.

Does anyone have any literature on the topic?

the Birch reaction uses Sodium or Lithium metal in liquid anhydrous ammonia, the bastard variation called "shake and bake" produces the ammonia in situ, both have nothing to do with the reactions which employ iodine and red phosphorus, or H3PO2 or H3PO3 or NaI or KI with H3PO4. Completely different construction site sorry. All of those reactions are exothermic, highly exothermic so there is no need for microwaving or similar fancies.

Microwaves have some amazing untapped potential in chemistry in the realm of reaction time and solventless reactions, but when you read about these things it's important to keep in mind that a microwave for chemistry is not the same as what you are heating your soup with.
For one thing, the microwave in your kitchen uses a "duty cycle" to adjust the power. If you set your microwave for 50% power, what it actually does is run at full power and 5 seconds on and 5 seconds off ( not 5 seconds exactly, that varies by manufacturer, but just the running full power and then not emmiting at all). A scientific microwave actually adjusts the output of the magnetron. The wavelength of the microwave irradiation is also adjustable and is generally significantly lower than a commercial unit

Thank you friend I brought a Chemistry microwave as my favourite method of P2P is the leuckart. Shit yield but amine packed full of power.

"The Smell" - I assume you are referring to the specific smell of an RP/I or similar reaction which signs that the reaction has gone to completion, yes?
Got some funny facts for ya: "The Smell" is the smell of Phenylacetone aka P2P. Yes seriously. The extrenely acidic environment and the high temperature cause some Meth to hydrolyze to P2P and this is "The Smell".

I'll never forget my mentor pulling out the piece of paper towel stuffed into the condenser and him saying "smell that" before smelling I asked what am I looking for, his response it'll smell good but you know its bad for ya. Haha Phenylacetone. Your correct.
