Police in California raided a drug lab and seized 42 kilograms of fentanyl as part of a massive anti-drug operation. The Alameda County Sheriff's Department announced this on Saturday, April 23. Police also shared photos on social media of the synthetic opioids seized during the operation.
The day before, Friday, April 22, the county's narcotics task force conducted a search of buildings located in Oakland and Hayward. In one of them, sheriff's office detectives discovered a synthetic drug manufacturing lab.
Detectives found about 42 pounds of fentanyl, lab equipment and two illegal firearms in the manufacturing lab. As a result, they were able to take into custody one person suspected of manufacturing the drugs, the other suspect is currently on the run. The identities of the suspects, as well as the exact location of the fentanyl lab, have not yet been released.
