Anyone here tried making 2,5-dimethoxybenzaldehyde using benzaldehyde and pyridine?

Pretty much all in the title but if you have, can you give me an idea of how easy it is?
I have a load of benzaldehyde and I’m not into amphetamine’s very much, I would much rather convert it to 2,5-dmobzh (yes that’s my shorthand for the above chem lol) and risk getting half the amount of final product as it’s doubly useful to me!
also benzaldehyde is really easy to get and so if it’s a relatively do-able synth then I think I’m onto something and can start following some 2c recipes.
any thoughts or troubles I may face? I don’t NEED a kilo of it…
Even 250g seems excessive to me but whatever, I’m not a seller

from 4-methoxybenzaldehyde u can do. But it is better to buy end material in our listing, it will be cheaper.

If you have to ask this question it means you won't. It's not clear to you why, but you will end up buying or receiving some. Maybe approach vanillin with 3,4,5-(MeO)3-BA in mind rather than 2,5-(MeO)2... tried from p-anisaldehyde and the work is tough.

Yeah I learnt. I realised like 5 mins after I posted this I meant something like 3,4-hydroxy ph or something, got confused between the mescaline precursor, the 2c main precursor and 3,4hydroxyphenrthylamine. Totally different
…sorry about that. Iv since had a lesson on phenethylamines and the way in which you essentially read chemicals backwards so the 3 and 4 position are totally wrong, not to mention hydroxy instead of dimethoxy or trimethoxy. Sorry about that!
