I've created this method myself - the source was this pdf anyone can find when typing "amphetamine from p2np" in google. Using my technique - you are reducing 100% of P2NP and you prevent Hg for getting into the final product.

how are you determining 100% conversion? i know nothing about chemistry, but from reading on here, im pretty sure your colour chart, although you seem happy enough, is just bad practice.
you should try and wash with acetone after filtering, no need to evaporate in the oven, that also leaves impuritys in the product.
you might not care about that, but when advising others to follow your method, you should make sure its safe.
i like the idea though, in theory, you can add enough al to react, but keep reaction from being to violent.
add more as you need to.
i would still advise proper equiptment though, even if you could control the reaction its better to be safe than stupid.

Be careful man so that you don't contaminate your mercury nitrate with cabbage or the other way round, depends on ones priorities I guess : P
